Groundbreaking of 20-acre Park Underway at Elburn Station
Elburn, IL– October 15, 2020 ––In a joint effort between Shodeen, the Village of Elburn and Blackberry Township, construction of a 20-acre park and sports complex is underway, just north of Keslinger Road and east of Liberty Drive, in Elburn. Part of the l505-acre master-planned Elburn Station community, the Elburn Station Community Park will include a playground, tennis court, three pickle ball courts, two half-court basketball courts, pavilion, grass soccer and lacrosse fields and a parking lot.
“The Village of Elburn is proud to be part of the joint partnership with Blackberry Township and Shodeen to bring our residents a new multi-use recreation facility,” said Jeff Walter, Village of Elburn President. “It is through these types of private -public partnerships that we bring more options to our residents and enhance the overall quality of life in Elburn.
