Groundbreaking of 20-acre Park Underway at Elburn Station

 Elburn, IL– October 15, 2020 ––In a joint effort between Shodeen, the Village of Elburn and Blackberry Township, construction of a 20-acre park and sports complex is underway, just north of Keslinger Road and east of Liberty Drive, in Elburn.  Part of the l505-acre master-planned Elburn Station community, the Elburn Station Community Park will include a playground, tennis court, three pickle ball courts, two half-court basketball courts, pavilion, grass soccer and lacrosse fields and a parking lot.

“The Village of Elburn is proud to be part of the joint partnership with Blackberry Township and Shodeen to bring our residents a new multi-use recreation facility,” said Jeff Walter, Village of Elburn President.  “It is through these types of private -public partnerships that we bring more options to our residents and enhance the overall quality of life in Elburn. We thank our partners for making this happen and look forward to many more joint ventures that will continue to make Elburn the ‘one-of-a-kind” place that it is.”
